I’m looking to buy a new canon digital SLR camera . I want to spend about ,500 on the camera alone, and 0 on lenses/fish eye lens. I need some suggestions on which camera to look into buying. Thank you! (Sample pictures of what the camera takes is super helpful).
Where can I find a "AA" battery carriage/adapter that can substitue the proprietary battery pack in my canon Digital Rebel 6MP? I know that there is a battery pack for it that’s hard to find called the canon BGE1 Battery Grip, but it doesn’t support using "AA" batteries. I’ve gone through a ton of these proprietary battery packs, and none of them last long, and they’re expensive to buy. They don’t hold charges very good either. If anyone knows of where I can purchase something like this, or where I could get someone to make me a custom one based on the canon BP-511 Battery pack, I would be super grateful. I love my camera , but I’m tired of buying canon ’s batteries and having them run dead in a month, and not recharging. Thank you.

canon Digital Rebel Digital SLR
Hi,
I am looking for upgrading from a canon Digital Rebel 2000 to a Digital SLR. It has the following lenses:
a) 18-35 Cannon Lens
b) 70-300 Tamaron Lens
I am considering buying either a canon 300D/350D/400D or Nikon 40x.
I have the following question:
1. Can I use the lenses mentioned above with the canon’s Digital SLRs?
If yes, then I could probably avoid Nikon.
I am not a avid photographer, but just have the film based camera in the family which I am trying to upgrade.

I am a student photographer, and I used a standard canon digital camera , but I wan’t something with more optical zoom that can be digital. I already have a canon film slr that my mom used to have, and frankly it is quite old and a hassle to carry around. I decided it might be best if I went ahead and invested in an slr, but i know those are extremely pricey! So, do you know where the best deals are for slr camera s, both on and offline?

I have a canon Digital SLR camera and just recently started saving my pictures in RAW format. When I go to upload my pictures onto my computer from my camera I realized that some pictures are doubled for some reason and others are not? I have only realized this since switching to shooting in a RAW format. Any ideas on why this is or if and how I can stop them from saving twice. Each picture is slightly different from eachother … not exactly the same but very close. Thanks!
My camera was recently stolen, and I’m looking to buy another canon because I loved my powershot so much. I really want to get a digital SLR, but I was just wondering if there are any possibly good camera s for under 0? I don’t have a lot of money to spend on one and I was wondering if there are any websites you’d like to suggest or anything.
Question for someone who owns a canon Digital SLR: do they have the same "fun features" as the regular powershots do? My powershot had a fun feature that made the whole picture black and white but you could pick out certain colors that you wanted to show up, like red or blue. I was just wondering if a slr could do that too.

Is there a difference between the "EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS SLR Lens" and the "EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 II Lens" ??? I know the only difference in the title is the " II " in the second, but they have the exact same name otherwise and look identical.
Please someone with experience answer, if I buy the wrong one for my canon Digital Rebel XTi it would be a very expensive mistake lol.
