Okay I have a question…
I’ve recently purchased a canon EOS Rebel XTI 10.1 MP (body only). This is my first Digital SLR, so I’m no pro by any means, nor am I looking to spend a lot of money on lenses. I will use the camera primarily for, family events, such as baptisms and birthdays, and travel such as zoo’s, disney world, and arizona..
What would be a good lens for me? Is it best to stick with canon lenses? Is 18-55mm a good lens? 28-90mm? 70-200mm? All suggestions from experienced digital photographers are welcomed.

I am not a photographer. I have a Kodak digital with 12x optical zoom and take some ok pics.
I am thinking of upgrading to a digital SLR. I have my eye on a canon 50D. Could you please let me know what you think of that camera ? Also how would it compare to a Nikon D90?
Finally, the canon EOS Rebel is WAY less than the 50D. Is it way lower in quality?

I want to buy a good DSLR camera . the canon EOS Rebel XS Digital SLR camera is the cheapest cannon I could find at 0. Is it a good buy? or should I wait to save up more money and buy a more expensive one?
I’m going to be taking a photography course soon and I hope I can get into professional photography afterwards. A DSLR isn’t necessary for the course so I can wait if I should.
