canon has developed a comprehensive approach to deal with the potential problem of dust on digital SLR camera sensors, based on the three concepts of Prevent dust generation, Prevent dust adhesion, and Remove adhered dust. In addition to using dust-resistant materials and mechanisms that prevent generation of dust within the camera body, anti-static treatment also prevents dust from adhering to the sensor. And if any stray dust should adhere, canon has developed a self-cleaning sensor unit that produces ultrasonic vibrations to remove dust from the filter protecting the CMOS sensor.

Making of canon L Series 500mm F4L IS USM. Part 2 of 3 in the production of expensive camera gear. L series is canon ’s Premium lens line featuring fluorite lenses. IS refers to Image Stabilzation build into the lens, and USM refers to Ultrasonic Motor drive that makes focusing faster than older systems. Currently I’m using a Rebel XT, although I’m thinking of upgrading to an XTi or 5DMk2. This 500 with the New 5D would be a sweet combination. www.razorfantasy.com

A whole bunch of time lapses I did on a canon Xti. Used a Ti-83 for the intervalometer. There’s a lot of flickering in some of the shots, since most of the lapses I didn’t lock down my aperture. Yeah so I don’t know what the hell is up with the audio when you watch it in HD. Any questions just ask.
