Is the Yongnuo RF-602RX wireless flash trigger compatible with the Canon T1i/500d?
In Amazon it says “for Canon 1D/5D/7D/10D/20D/30D/40D/50D DSLR”, but is it compatible with the T1i/500d? Thanks.

rob answers:
It is a manual flash. It should work on all cameras, except sony which doesnt have a traditional hot shoe.
It will work. But it wont have ttl. Get a light meter to learn how to set up the flash unit

Which lens adapter is better for canon 500d with 18-55mm lens?
I am choosing between the following:
1. http://www. amazon .com/Opteka-58mm-Professional-Macro- Canon /dp/B000GBCYF2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1319696419&sr=8-1

4. http://photojojo.com/store/awesomeness/wide-angle-macro-lens/
I don’t have a budget to buy the lens so I am opting for an adapter instead. I like to have macro and wide lens I just don’t know how great these lens would work, anybody with experience with any of the lens? Thanks!

rob answers:
You have a nice camera – junk like those “lenses” are going to disappoint you.
Save up longer and buy a real lens.

Paul asks…
Is the Sakar 2146W lense compatible with Canon EOS 500D?
http://www.amazon.com/Sakar-2146W-0-42X-Angle-Black/dp/tech-data/B000HAQ8XG/ref=de_a_smtd
rob answers:
No. It won’t be compatible to the 500D because it is an adapter that mounts on the filter threaded end of an existing lens instead of directly mounting to the camera. That lens adapter can be screwed on to a lens that is attached to the 500D but you will need a step up or step down adapter to match the lens adapter’s size to the filter size of the existing lens. It would be best to get the correct size of the adapter to match the filter size of the lens to avoid using an adapter. If you are using the 18-55mm kit lens that has a 55mm filter size, get the Sakar lens at 55mm also.

Deciding between a Canon EOS 450d or 500d help?
I was planning on buying the 500d here:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0020MLKF0/ref=s9_simh_gw_p23_i2?pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=1J3JC5RM4TQFAYHV0FCH&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=467128533&pf_rd_i=468294
but I’m just wondering, would it be worth going down to the 450d in order to get the two lenses in this deal, instead of just one lens to begin with?
http://www.jessops.com/online.store/products/77408/show.html
and any opinions on these SLRs?
any other recommendations?

rob answers:
Personally, I would go with the 500D. Don’t get me wrong, the 450D is great (I have one), but you’re giving up HD video capability and 3 MP for a mediocre telephoto zoom without imgage stabilization. At 300mm, you’re shooting either in really bright lights or having to place the camera on a tripod – or both. There’s nothing wrong with putting your camera on a tripod, it’s just another item you have to drag around in order to get usuable/sharp pictures. There are much better zooms out there with IS for little additional money. And video, I find recording live concerts a thing of beauty.

Robert asks…
Good Zoom lens for concert (Canon EOS D500)?
I own a Canon EOS 500D and a 18-55mm standard lens only. I need some recommendation on good zoom lens. I will need to use it for the rodeo concert on March. I will sit very far from the stage so I need it to pick up some good shot. My budget is around $250. I take photography as an interest only so… standard good zoom lens is enough for me.
Is it a good idea to buy from Amazon? It will be cheaper and I can ship it back if it’s not good.
rob answers:
The only lens that i can see that would be useful to you around your budget would be the canon 55-250mm lens but that’s a telephoto zoom not just a standard zoom.if you want an upgrade to your lens, then i suggest you save up your money and either get the canon 18-135mm or if your willing to pay the price, the canon 15-85mm which is an excellent lens but at a premium price.
